Some have lost their parents, while others have been forced onto the streets because of poverty, abuse, family conflict, or difficult life circumstances. Instead of enjoying their childhood and preparing for a bright future, they struggle each day just to survive.
Street-connected youth face many dangers, including hunger, exploitation, violence, substance abuse, crime, and poor health. Without support, many are denied the opportunity to discover their talents, develop their skills, and become productive members of society. Yet every one of them has value, dignity, and the potential to succeed when given the right opportunities.
Vigilant Youth of Christ believes that no young person should be forgotten. Our mission is to reach out to disadvantaged youth living on the streets with compassion, practical support, and the love of Christ. We work to restore hope by providing access to education, vocational skills training, mentorship, counseling, healthcare referrals, food assistance, and spiritual guidance.
Our goal is not only to meet immediate needs but also to equip these young people with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities they need to become responsible adults, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and agents of positive change. By investing in their lives today, we help build stronger families and safer communities tomorrow.
